World War II (1939-1945)

Andrew Thomas Loya was born in Shoreham, Vermont, on May 18, 1919. He and his wife and three children moved to Delanson, Schenectady County, New York, after 1940. Before entering the military, he worked on a farm.

On May 20, 1944, Andrew enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with the 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. On November 28, 1944, Andrew was killed in combat in Germany. He is buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial in Luxembourg.
