World War II (1939-1945)

Michael A. Cipriano was born in Rotterdam, New York, on March 21, 1925. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and in June 1943, he graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. He worked for Weiss Market on Broadway before entering the military.

In June, 1943, Michael enlisted in the United States Army. He underwent his military training in Georgia and Texas. He was a private first class serving with Company B, 395th Infantry Regiment, 99th Infantry Division. He was deployed in September 1944, and before moving to Germany, he served in Belgium and England. On March 15, 1945, during the Battle of Remagen, Michael was killed in battle. He is buried in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Colonie, New York.
