Stanislau Duzenski was born in Poland on June 7, 1890. He settled in Schenectady after arriving in the United States as an adult and began working for General Electric.
Stanislau enlisted in the United States Army on October 5, 1917, and on April 25, 1918, the U.S. Army troopship S.S. Karmala took him overseas. He was a private serving with the 325th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Infantry Division. On October 13, 1918, during the Meuse-Argonne offensive, Stanislau was killed in battle. He is buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial in France.
