World War II (1939-1945)

Lorenzo Vincent DiCerbo was born in Schenectady, New York, on May 11, 1924. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in June 1942. Before entering the military, he worked for General Electric.

In February 1943, Lorenzo enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. He was a private first class serving with the 10th Infantry Battalion, 4th Armored Division. On November 14, 1944, Lorenzo was killed in combat in Lorraine, France. He is buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial in France.
