World War II (1939-1945)

Joseph Louis Majewski was born in Schenectady, New York, on August 3, 1918. He grew up in the city of Schenectady, attended Mont Pleasant High School, and worked for the Montgomery Ward Company.

On March 12, 1942, Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with the 709th Tank Battalion. In Bretagne, France, on August 26, 1944, Joseph was killed in action. He is buried at the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial in France.
