World War II (1939-1945)

Frank Henry Dillenbeck was born in Schenectady, New York, on October 21, 1918. After 1925, he was living in the town of Rotterdam in Schenectady County. He was on the basketball and soccer teams at Draper High School, where he graduated in 1936. Before entering the military, he worked for General Electric. 

On February 13, 1942, Frank enlisted in the United States Army. He was a corporal serving with the 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. On October 14, 1943, Frank was killed in combat in Italy. He is buried in the Rome American Cemetery and Memorial in Italy.
